In a vibrant celebration of culture and learning, students from the Chinese language classes of SM La Salle visited Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) on October 6th for a special cultural immersion program.

The visit coincided fortuitously with the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, adding a festive atmosphere to the day's activities. The students were given a hands-on introduction to various aspects of Chinese culture, moving beyond the confines of their regular classroom lessons.

Their itinerary included a session on customizing traditional Chinese hand fans, allowing for a creative and personal exploration of the art form. The students also received a briefing on the history and role of the Confucius Institute at UMS.

Furthermore, the program provided an opportunity for the SM La Salle group to explore other facets of traditional and ancient Chinese culture, deepening their understanding and appreciation for the subject they are studying. The event served as a bridge between academic study and cultural experience, enriching the students' perspective on the Chinese language and its heritage.
