The Minister of Sports, Awangku Mohammad Harith Rifqi, announced that the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Tournament, known as the MLT Initiative, will be hosted annually starting this year. The announcement was made during the Sambutan Penutupan Bulan Kemerdekaan held at the Junior Campus.

Following the prize presentation for this year’s tournament winners, the Minister confirmed that the event will be made as an annual sports initiative under his ministry.

“The tournament has proven to be a platform that not only strengthens teamwork and strategic thinking but also builds camaraderie among students. Starting this year, the MLT will become a permanent part of our annual sports calendar,” he stated.

The initiative reflects the Ministry of Sports’ effort to diversify student engagement in competitive and digital activities, recognising e-sports as a growing avenue for collaboration, discipline, and innovation.

The Ministry also expressed its appreciation to the organising committee, participating teams, and supporters who contributed to the success of the event.
